MEET THE TEAM

Board of Trustees

Kids VIP is a charitable organisation and company limited by guarantee. It is managed by a Board of Trustees (who are also the Company Directors) who provide strategy and overall direction to the organisation. The trustees come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including the Prison Service, accountancy, the law and the media.

The charity has been supported in the past by Lord Woolf (Patron), Martin Narey (Chief Executive of Barnardos), Hilary Benn MP (former Prisons Minister, now Secretary of Sate for the Environment) and Michael Spurr (currently Deputy Director General of the Prison Service).

Fiona Clarke OBE, the charities’ founder remains very much involved with and dedicated to Kids VIP as a trustee. Kate Philbrick OBE, a former national adviser to Kids VIP, also sits on the board. Their honours were received in recognition of their work with Kids VIP.

Kids VIP’s experienced team of training and development staff and consultants work accross the UK. Through visits design, development of play facilities and family days, training of prison staff and volunteers, and partnerships with other voluntary organisations, Kids VIP helps to ensure that children are better able to maintain contact with their imprisoned parents.
